Pictures Unlimited
This is the first part of the English pages of this site and is meant to show pictures which are (more or less) of general interest.
It's already some time ago that this page was started without anything new, so now here comes the first extension.
In most Roman Catholic Churches a prominent place is given to the Stations of the Cross and even though these churches are not as full as they were some years ago, new versions are appearing and two of these I have photographed, the first already 3 years ago in Vercorin a village in the Rhone Valley in Switzerland. There the Stations of the Cross have been made in stained glass, which gives them a very special effect as seen here.
More recently I saw another version, now even more is left to the imagination in these embroidered scenes which was photographed in the church of St John and St Michael in Enschede and this version can be seen here.
When this page was started the first possibility was to look at the pictures made during a walk in the "Witteveen" which may be translated to White Fen and these are found here
The second possibility was to look at pictures of our summer holidays of 2007 which were spent mostly in Ticino and which can be seen by going here.
